We understand that saying goodbye to your beloved companion is an emotional and heart-wrenching decision. Dr. Vriend will take the time to thoroughly discuss all of your options and address any questions you may have about end-of-life care. Our goal is to ensure that your pet’s final moments are as peaceful, pain-free, and dignified as possible, while also providing comfort to you and your family during this emotional time.
We believe that planning for euthanasia ahead of time helps create a less stressful environment, allowing you and your family to focus on cherishing the time you have left with your pet. This approach also helps ensure your pet’s passing is calm and respectful.
Contact Us TodayIn-home appointments will be scheduled at your convenience. Our priority is to minimize stress for your family and provide comfort in the familiar surroundings of your home. We understand this is a deeply emotional decision, and we want to ensure you feel supported, respected, and at ease during this difficult process.
Before our arrival, we will contact you to confirm the appointment time and ensure that all of your questions and concerns have been answered. We encourage you to select a location in your home where your pet feels most comfortable. Upon arrival, Dr. Vriend will discuss the euthanasia process and answer any final questions you may have. We tailor the experience to each individual pet, considering factors such as age, breed, temperament, health conditions, and any specific wishes you may have for your pet. In most cases, we administer a strong sedative medication that helps your pet relax and fall into a deep, peaceful sleep. Once your pet is fully asleep, we will administer a final medication that helps them pass peacefully in their sleep. Afterward, we will give you and your family the time and space to grieve in private. Compassionate Pet Crossing will then respectfully transport your pet to the crematorium for the next steps.
